This one’s for those who got us here.
Those who figured out, how to survive,

Through the long dark night,
In the endless black sky.

Our ancestors,
our inherited intelligence.

The cunning willingness
Of an unbroken rhyme,
from the root to the vine.

A genetic sequence.
Smuggled through the
most devastatingly desperate and dangerous of times.

A little candlelight.

Sailing through the deep dark
flickering bright,
Against the bucketing-whirlwinds of the outside.
Searching for the break of day,
For sweet respite.

No matter how painfully lonely became its’ plight.

Giving life inside,
to the most precious and delicate of vibes.
The one now entrusted to us,
To somehow keep alive.
As we sail towards this most dangerous and devastating of times.

For the sake of our family.
For those who have yet to arrive.
And for the darkness,
we’ve yet to outshine.

LONG LIVE THE STREAMLINE.

Spoken word poetry and poetic considerations on public affairs. Maybe the odd story as well.
